Hire an offshore SEO specialist

We recruit full-time SEO specialists in Sri Lanka and the Philippines who research keywords, fix technical issues, optimise pages and build your search visibility month after month. They work only on your website, or your agency's client sites, and report against rankings, traffic and enquiries.

Quick answer

How much does an offshore SEO specialist cost?

A full-time offshore SEO specialist costs a monthly salary plus our fee. Salaries typically run A$1,000–1,800 a month in Sri Lanka and A$1,500–2,500 in the Philippines. Our fee is $5,999 + GST once, or $1,000 a month with no upfront fee. Hiring takes 3–4 weeks. Technical SEO leads earn the most.

What the role covers

SEO that gets done every week, not once a quarter

Search results reward steady work: fixing what breaks, improving pages that nearly rank and publishing what customers search for. A dedicated specialist does that work every week inside your CMS and tools, under the direction of whoever owns marketing in your business.

Keyword and competitor research

Find the searches your customers use, map them to pages and track how you compare with competitors.

Technical SEO

Audit crawl errors, redirects, sitemaps, page speed, schema and indexing, then fix them or brief your developer.

On-page optimisation

Rewrite titles, meta descriptions, headings and internal links on pages that are close to page one.

Content briefs and publishing

Write briefs for new pages and blog posts, edit drafts for search intent and publish them in your CMS.

Local SEO

Keep your Google Business Profile, citations and location pages accurate and active.

Reporting

Report rankings, traffic and enquiries from Search Console and GA4 each month, with what changed and what is next.

How we screen

What we test before you see a shortlist

Every candidate has phone and video interviews with our recruiters and a skills assessment set for your role. For a SEO specialist that covers:

  • A live audit of a sample website, judged on the problems they find and how they rank them
  • A keyword map for a sample service page, judged on search intent rather than volume alone
  • Hands-on Search Console and GA4: finding pages that lost clicks and explaining why
  • Written English for briefs, page copy and client-facing reports

SEO Specialist FAQ

Common questions

Two colleagues planning work at a whiteboard
Is hiring an SEO specialist better than paying an SEO agency?

It depends on how much work you have. An agency retainer buys a share of several people's time. A dedicated specialist works only on your sites every day, learns your business and builds up knowledge you keep. Many businesses and agencies hire a specialist and keep an outside strategist for an occasional review.

How is this different from a digital marketing specialist?

A digital marketing specialist splits their time across paid ads, email and some SEO. An SEO specialist focuses only on organic search: technical fixes, content and rankings. If organic search is your main lead source, hire the specialist.

Can they build links?

They can run outreach for genuine mentions such as directories, partners, suppliers and guest articles. They should never buy links or use private networks, because both break Google's spam policies and can get your site penalised.

How soon will we see results?

Technical fixes and title rewrites can lift clicks within weeks. New pages usually take three to six months to rank. A monthly report from Search Console shows progress before rankings move.

Can they work on our agency's client sites?

Yes. Agencies often hire specialists to deliver SEO for several clients. Agree access and confidentiality terms with your clients.

How much does it cost in total?

Add the monthly salary to our fee. Ready for You is $5,999 + GST once, then $0 a month if you employ them or $350 a month if we employ them as Employer of Record. Managed for You is $1,000 a month on a 12-month commitment with no recruitment fee. IT options are extra and quoted with your role.
