We recruit full-time web developers in Sri Lanka and the Philippines who build and maintain your websites, online stores and web apps. They join your team, use your repositories and work through your backlog, with code that belongs to you.

Quick answer

A full-time offshore web developer costs a monthly salary plus our fee. Salaries typically run A$1,200–2,800 a month in Sri Lanka and A$1,800–3,200 in the Philippines. How we screen

What we test before you see a shortlist

Every candidate has phone and video interviews with our recruiters and a skills assessment set for your role. For a web developer that covers:

  • A take-home or live coding task in your stack, reviewed by a developer
  • A code review of their past work: readability, tests and structure
  • Git workflow and working in tickets with clear estimates
  • Written English for tickets, pull requests and handovers

Web Developer FAQ

Common questions

Two colleagues planning work at a whiteboard
Who owns the code?

Your business does. Keep code in repositories you own, add your developer as a collaborator, and set out IP ownership in the employment agreement.

How do you test developers?

Each candidate completes a coding task in your stack, reviewed by a developer, and walks through past work in a technical interview. You can add your own technical interview before choosing.

Can a junior developer work without a senior on our side?

It is possible but risky. If you have no technical lead, hire a mid-level or senior developer, or use Managed for You for extra support in the first year.

How much does it cost in total?

Add the monthly salary to our fee. Ready for You is $5,999 + GST once, then $0 a month on Setup of Record or $350 a month on Employer of Record. Managed for You is $1,000 a month on a 12-month commitment with no recruitment fee. IT options are extra and quoted with your role.

Can they work on our agency clients' sites?

Yes. Agencies often hire a dedicated developer to work through client tickets. Agree access and confidentiality terms with your clients.
